The Treatment Procedure Step one: Cleanse, exfoliate, tone. Approximately 10 minutes. Step two: Facial expression lengthening using microcurrent probes and conductive gel. This procedure serves to lengthen the shortened expression muscles and enhance the following lift procedure. This takes approx 5 minutes. Step three: This 20-minute facial lifting session utilises the same conductive gel and probes but stronger microcurrent. Your therapist will hold the facial muscles between the probes to ‘exercise’ the muscle and encourage lift and tone. of the epidermis continues over a number of days to provoke an evident
lifting effect to the skin, offering a visible smoothing effect to wrinkles. The outstanding results are achieved over a course of three unique peeling procedures carried out over a period of six weeks. The importance of oxygen and the skin A good supply of oxygen to the skin is essential for regeneration and cell renewal within the skin. As part of the ageing process, oxygen levels within the skin dramatically decrease due to the atrophy of the capillary network within the skin. The epidermis holds a large amount of water, 80% of which is found in the germative or basal layer and held in the intercellular channels between the cells known as the bio-matrix. In younger skin this layer is very active in cell renewal but again, the ageing process slows this down. The cells in the Bio-matrix are held together and surrounded by ceramides, hyaluronic acid, liquids and essential proteins. These intercellular liquids and ceramides are critical in the role of retaining water moisture and play a vital role in the skin water balance. With age, skin loses its intercellular moisture level and, as cell renewal slows down, wrinkles and lines begin to appear.
